Neo-Confederate, or Southern Nationalist, is a term used to describe the views of various groups and individuals who use historical revisionism to portray the Confederate States of America and its actions in the American Civil War in a positive light. Usually has an over-romanticized view of the Confederacy as well as Antebellum South to the point of viewing life during that time as somehow better than life today. Is not able to "get over" the fact that their ancestors or people they identify with from more than a century and half lost the civil war.
