Fundamentalist preacher who is considered to be one of the stronger figures within the Christian Right. Connected to Liberty Counsel.

Double Standards on speaking against the President

People who say "terrible things about our (Republican) President" should be 'popped'

  • "When I, when I, when I hear somebody talking about our military and ridiculing and saying terrible things about our President, I’m thinking you know just a little bit of that and I believe the Lord would forgive me if I popped him." - Jerry Falwell, September 29, 2005 (1)

But saying "terrible things" about a Democratic President is alright

Authoritarian Personality

  • "Our crowd needs to get in the battle, keep their mouths shut and help this man (Bush) win." (2)
  • "Christians, like slaves and soldiers, ask no questions." (3)
